In accordance with the Department Regulations, Committees are established to support institutional activities in the areas of teaching, student guidance, research and third mission.
- Joint Student–Staff Committee:
The Committee operates within the Department and is chaired by one of its academic members. It is composed equally of student representatives elected to the Department Council and an equal number of academic staff members affiliated with the Department, elected by the Council, ensuring, where possible, representation across all Degree Programmes. Members also include one member of the PhD Academic Board and one PhD candidate.
The Committee contributes to monitoring and continuous enhancement of teaching quality and educational provision, providing feedback on teaching programmes and on the processes for the activation, modification and discontinuation of Degree Programmes.
The Committee promotes the dissemination of the University’s quality policies among students.
The Committee ensures the monitoring of educational provision, teaching quality and student services delivered by academic staff, based on information contained in the SUA-CdS and other available data sources.
The Committee analyses the outcomes of student and PhD candidate feedback surveys, contributing to the identification of critical issues and the definition of improvement actions.
The Committee prepares an annual report reviewing the overall educational activities of the Department (including PhD programmes), highlighting critical issues and proposing improvement actions to the relevant governing bodies.
- Student Guidance and Tutoring Committee:
The Committee contributes to the development of student guidance and support policies, in alignment with University strategies and Department objectives.
The Committee promotes guidance initiatives at entry, during studies and at graduation, supporting informed study choices, regular progression and transition to employment.
The Committee ensures coordination of guidance activities at both Departmental and Degree Programme level, in collaboration with University structures.

- Research and Third Mission Committee (AQ-RDTM)
The Committee contributes to the definition of Departmental strategies related to research and third mission activities.
The Committee promotes coordination of research and third mission activities and fosters dialogue with institutional, industrial and social stakeholders.
The Committee ensures monitoring of strategic objectives and outcomes in research and third mission activities.
The Committee carries out periodic review activities, identifying strengths, areas for improvement and potential development actions.
- La Internship Committee
The Committee contributes to the development of curricular internship activities within Degree Programmes.
The Committee promotes internship opportunities with public and private organisations, supporting integration between academic training and professional environments.
The Committee ensures coordination of procedures for the activation and management of curricular internships.
