This laboratory is dedicated to practical and experimental training activities and to the teaching of principal techniques in cytology, histology, microbiology, plant biology, developmental biology, and pharmaceutical botany.
The principal teaching activities include: preparation of fresh specimens; preparation of slides for microscopic observation of animal tissues, plant tissues, and microorganisms; observation of immunohistochemically stained preparations for optical microscopy.
The laboratory is equipped with: 40 upright optical microscopes, including 1 trinocular microscope (Optech mod. Biostar B4 N-T) with digital camera (Optech DL 12000) and video projection system.
