This laboratory is dedicated to the teaching of principal techniques for the identification of organic compounds. The principal activities involve the synthesis, purification, and characterisation of organic and/or pharmacologically relevant substances.
The laboratory is equipped with: 6 chemical fume hoods; Monomodal Microwave Reactor (mod. Discover 2.0, CEM); 2 Rotary Evaporators (Heidolph) with vacuum pumps (Deltek DK); 6 heating mantles (2- and 5-position, Falc); 5 melting point apparatus; magnetic heating stirrers.
