This laboratory is dedicated to the teaching of principal experimental techniques in microbiology and plant biotechnology. The principal activities include the preparation of solid and liquid culture media for the isolation and growth of microorganisms and their identification, as well as preparation of plant culture media.
The laboratory is equipped with: 2 laminar flow cabinets (Gelair and Juan); 2 natural convection incubators (ICN 55, Argolab); orbital shaking incubator (LSE 71L, Corning); automatic pipetting device (Pipette Filler Digital); 3D bench-top rotary shaker (Argolab); ventilated bench-top centrifuge (NEYA 8 Basic, with rotors for 15 ml and 50 ml tubes); automatic autoclave (ATV600, Falc); digital fluorescence display analytical balance (Bel Engineering); technical balance (Bel Engineering); 3-position Speed-Flow filtration manifold with vacuum pump.
