This laboratory is dedicated to practical and experimental training activities and to the teaching of principal techniques in zoology, plant biology, and phycology. The principal teaching activities include dissection of animal and plant biological specimens, preparation of fresh specimens, and preparation of slides for microscopic observation of animal tissues, plant tissues, and algae.
The laboratory is equipped with: 18 binocular stereo microscopes (Optech mod. SZ-N); 18 upright binocular optical microscopes (Optech mod. Biostar 3 – LED), including 1 trinocular microscope (Optech mod. Biostar B4 N-T) with digital camera (Optech DL 12000) and video projection system.
